parens is an outlet for my parenthetical thoughts about software development, the by-product of some years of professional toil and playful tinkering.

In previous lives, I wrote and shared scattered articles, posts, or comments about software around the web. Or I did a software thing but skipped the writing or publishing parts, so no one was in the forest to hear it.

The parens hypothesis is that given an available affordance for public writing, there will follow a collection of writings at least worth writing and perhaps worth reading.
